Father in Heaven
I long for love, but am looking for it in all the wrong places. For years it was through guys. Doing and being whatever they wished, so they might like me. After I got hurt from that repeatedly, I've closed myself off to them. I've been single for 5 years. Haven't been on a date in 3. I am very lonely and do believe I'll never marry. I don't want that, but... I've turned to food for love. I've gained 30 pounds from it. I've also turned to You for love. It helped, but why isn't it helping like it did before? I'm depressed Father. Help me. In Jesus name amen.

I've dealt with this before. God always told me to be patient and trust in him, and that he's saving me for someone special. He might be doing the same for you, pray to him daily, and keep your faith.
