Prayer Request


Thank You dear Lord for another day. Thank You for the strength and provision you give me daily. I'm in need of Your help through this hard time facing me. Some back info for others: I've been sick for over a month but was just able to go to the doctor last Friday b/c I was taking care of other family members instead of myself. I've also been smoking for 13 years. The doctor told me I almost have copd & the thing is I've been trying to quit smoking for a while now. I've been praying for God to give me headaches or whatever (like He has done to others I know) to stop me b/c I knew I needed to stop smoking asap. Since I didn't get anything like headaches or cigarettes tasting horrible, I took that as God saying He'll give me the strength & be there for me, but I've got to do this, I've got to use will power & the strength He gives me. I'm sure this is a life lesson for me to learn so I will be mature, lacking nothing. The doctor acted like if I would have waited a couple more weeks, I'd have full blown copd which scared me. They have me on 5 different medicines for the bacterial infection I've gotten and put me on chantix to help me stop smoking. I'm reaching out to others for prayers for strength, & for me to be a non smoker after the 1st. July 1st is my official quit date. I've already cut back but I know I must get rid of the morning cigarette & the one after I eat. I have pretty much got rid of the one after I eat, so it's mainly the one I smoke when I wake up.. I know I can do this. The only thing that kind of worries me is that my whole family smokes and right now my sister and my mother live with us and they smoke more than I ever did. So, being around them is going to be tough. That's why I'm reaching out to others to pray for me to have the strength I need. I know if I go at the very least 3 weeks without one, I can the rest of my life. Thanks in advance for prayers, they are greatly appreciated! And I just want to thank the Lord for always being there for me. Thank You Jesus for saving me and for always holding me and guiding me and for everything, because You are my true hero. I pray for strength and will power in Jesus's mighty name, AMEN!!!
