Prayer Request


Dear Lord,

Thank you that Jim made the list, and that he made it to a higher spot than he was before - a good spot for promotions! That took a great weight off of his mind for now. Please help him now to be the man that you and the fire department need him to be in order to get his promotion...and at the same time be a good husband and father. Dear Lord, help him to live for you and shine for you. Please continue the good work that you started in him.

Dear Lord, I also pray for myself. I still harbor some uncool feelings toward a member of my family who desperately needs me not to give up on her despite her obvious hatred for me. I am very tired of asking my daughter to go out of her way for her, and I am tired of going out of my way for her. And selfishly enough, "out of the way" isn't really that far out of the way when I think about it...it just seems that way because she seems to despise me. Please help me to develop some better affections for her! Please help her to see that what I have done I have done while only trying to help her become a better and more independent person!

Dear Lord, I also pray for myself that you please work on my family's schedule and on our finances. I feel like we are constantly in a frenzy going between town and home and running around town all the time to this, that, and the other. I know the kids feel the same way to some extent. Please help Jim and I as we try to provide a good family and a good upbringing for all of our kids. Please help us to find a way to manage our schedule better in order that we might have an actual home life with our kids, and that it might be a healthy one. Please help us to get our own laziness under control and get to work so that the house itself can become a better home for our kids. Help us manage the stress from our schedule and from my extra work schedule in a way that we can shine for you at work and at the same time shine for you at home.

Please be with my family and friends today. Keep them safe and keep them in your love.
