Prayer Request


Today my foster mom told me and my foster sister that our best friend Patrick ( Who we recently introduced to God) that he is a bad bad child and he broke in a freight store with his friend a year back. Getting to know Patrick I learned that he is very shy and has been very abused. This was of course before I heard that he had been in legal trouble. My foster mom and her daughter started talking about how bad he is and how worthless he is to breathe our "innocent" air.. Soon enough they asked me if I still would want to talk to him, and if I did I would probably be shunned. In the backseat of the car I spoke up and said "Only God can judge us. I try not to judge people because as a sinner I cannot judge what is good or evil, and neither can you..." A moment after that my foster mom asked about a boy that used to sneak in and have intercourse with her daughter at night, it took me a long time to think about what to say next. But before I could speak my foster mom says "How does it feel to eat your own words? See you're not so sure now!!" and as they kept talking about how bad Patrick was and how he should just leave the city and get thrown in jail to rot, I spoke up more confidently than I had before and said "Let the one who has yet to sin once, cast the first stone" and they were silent. Until they rolled they're eyes and continued to pick fun at Patrick (13) and even at me (16) is it still the right thing to be friends with him even though my foster parent and her daughter shun me??

I would honor my parentsand reason with them in love. I believe Patrick needs a Godly influence in his life. Christ himself made it a point to love sinners and accept them. But acceptance doesn't equal approval. Pray about it. Praying for you both and your parents.
