Prayer Request
Praise to you, Heavenly Father. Thank you for Martin Luther King and his ideas of non-violent protest. I know that you wish all of your children, of all races, to love each other as you love us. There is a lot of racist hatred in our world. People place their own desire and rights over those of others. Forgive me when I do this. Soften out hearts, lord Jesus.
I also pray for my children and grandchildren. My stepdaughter is stressed out and irresponsible and weak and pushed in the wrong direction by the fairly useless biological father of two of her children. I pray for them. I pray for my schizophrenic brother and my mother, his caretaker.
Watch over us all, dear lord.
Watch over our country and our president. Let us choose the way of Jesus, not the way of violence.
I praise you and cast my cares upon you. Come, Holy Spirit!
