Prayer Request

I hail my Ancestors, eldest of beings, from whom the worlds were birthed. Ancient Ones, Grandmothers and Grandfathers all, I call upon you now and ask for your blessing.
Hail to the Winds, whose breath imbues my body with life. In the beginning there was wind, unbound by any God, unfettered to any world, moving in the vastness of the void, without embodiment. Hail to Wind that roared from the void beginning the birthing of the worlds: East Wind, South Wind, West Wind and our mighty North Wind, Kari, I hail you. Breath and song, tornado and storm: I hail you. May your power be ever praised.

Hail to Fire, who remembers the time before time began. In the beginning there was Fire. Suspended in the void lay the burning, molten world Muspellheim, raging inferno of lava, heat, and searing flame. The Fire was hungry and there was no stillness in this world, only unceasing push to move, to dance, to expand, to devour. Hail to the fiery world of Muspellheim, to the creative spark imbued in all life. Hail to Fire who hears all things whispered from Ancestor to Ancestor around its bright body. Lightbringer, destroyer, giver of heat, warmth, and terror. Hail to Fire, devourer of entropy, gift of Logi and Surtr. May your power be ever praised.

Hail to Ice. In the beginning there was Ice. Suspended in the void lay the cold, silent world of Niflheim-- endless, chill expanse of ice and snow, silence and bitter cold. Nothing, moved in Niflheim save for the slow contraction of its ice fields and frozen mountains. It is an unforgiving world, a brutal world, a challenging world. Hail to the cold world of Niflheim, to the core of survival instinct, imbued in all life. Hail to Ice, Ancestor to us all, first with Fire to rise from the Void. Challenger of weakest of wills, bringer of strength through ordeal, I hail you. May your power be ever praised.

Hail to Water. In my body you sustain me. Through my tears, you carry my emotions to the world. Through the gift of the oceans, the blessings of mighty Aegir, You nourish my flesh. Through rain and flood and storm, you transform and cleanse. I hail you now, river and lake, stream and pond, ocean and sea, Water flowing domesticated to our needs, and Water flowing freely in all the worlds. You who are a world of your own, may your power be ever praised.

Hail to the Earth. Out of Fire and Ice, caught in the Void, came Earth, and from the fecundity of Earth, first of salt and brine then of soil, came life. Hail to Earth, the great sustainer, nourisher of life, devourer of life, feeding life upon life. Hail to the Earth, ancient Ancestor, offspring of Ice and Fire. Hail to Jorth and her body, every mountain, every tree and every stone. May your power be ever praised. Hail to the spirits of the mountains, strong and tall and proud. Ringed around Jotunheim, surging up from the body of Midgard, concealing the wealth of the Duergar, bearing the blessings of Jorth, witness to the birthing of the Gods. Born of Ymir's bones, I honor you now. Mountain spirits, Ancestors, may your power be ever praised.

Hail to the Sky above, who smiles down upon the Earth. Hail to the house of Mundilfari, who orders our days and the turning of our clocks, the passage of years, the passage of years, and tale of our lifetimes.

Hail to Memory, may these things be writ in the well of Urd for all to see. Hail to the Ancestors.
