Lean not on your own understandings, but in all ways acknowledge Him. Often times we are to busy
& overlook God's presence. We have to be still after we pray or seek God since He'll speak to us in so many different forms, especially via people. Keep talking to God. Tell Him you need to feel His presence & to reveal the things you are seeking. Remember He's always present.

It took months before God spoke to me and it was in different ways!! Don't loose hope keep doing what your doing he will come around
and amaze you! he's pleased threw our Faith! So believe :)

I was lost also looking for a bible that would help me understand and when I went to church I felt lost and different cause I saw all these people worshiping and I wanted to feel what they were feeling. But I thought when people said they heard God speaking to them I didnt hear a voice or anything but he does speak to us through his word. I ask God to speak to me through his word then I open the bible and my eyes will land on a scripture and I know right there that's him speaking to me. Don't be so hard on yourself I was feeling the same way. Ask the holy spirit to guide you and speaker to your heart. God loves you and I'm sure he see's you and knows your reading his word but don't read it as any other book. I did that I would read the word as a story that I didn't have faith in or it was hard for me to believe it happen. But prayer is so powerful. Keep speaking to God I speak to him through the day in my head and when I'm scared. He is your bestfriend and your everything. I will pray I'm not just saying going and not follow through. Keep your eyes on him he is all around you. Amen

I remember not understanding this either. Keep praying for His guidance. Make sure you have a bible you can easily read and understand (maybe a study bible will help). When you sit down to read the word be honest with God and tell him you don't understand and ask him to show you. He will, he will show u thru scripture and many other ways. Have faith, keep praying. God doesn't want you to be confused. Practice memorizing scripture also, so you will have the sword of armor handy at all times. Meditate on scripture. And like the other person stated pray thru out the whole day, he is your best friend. He understands everything you go thru. Praying for you. God bless
