The Love of God never serves to get loved back. tge love of God sees tge hole and seeks to fill it with the need. Not looking for position or acknowledgement. Or even to be loved back because that would be self serving. Of course Gods heart breaks when those he pours his goodness and love to don't even acknowledge him or are thankful or even want to go to the point of wanting to have a relationship with him. He leaves the choice up to us.
