Prayer Request

It seems that the more I pray the more nothing happens. I believe that prayer has power but I pray and nothing happens. I plan. I work my plan. And I pray. Sixteen months later I have no job. God I have done about all I can do. I pray and I turn it all over to you. Please hear my prayers. I don't ask for much, just that the people i love don't suffer because I can't support them. Please help. I will continue to pray. But where is the line of sight between my faith and reality? Help!
