Lord Jesus you have forgiven me much in my past, 7 x 70! But Lord I pray that you would sooth my memories, so that I would not look to and live in the past, but instead look to You! And hope in the future! Amen

God helped me to realize that we have to forgive ourselves after we ask God for forgiveness, and that sometimes memories linger so that we may be compassionate to others when we see them do the same things we messed up on. It allows us to be understanding and pray for those individuals instead of judging them because we're not doing that sin anymore. So don't be so hard on yourself and just use your mistakes to be understanding towards others. Be blessed.
