Prayer Request


LAH- Man here "life after hope" My name is Ron for short and I'm some kind of remnants of a human being and I just need some kind of advice, you see I just left a religious dogmatic ruthless experience... That lasted for 12years but aged me 40 years.. I was "thinking" about ending my life sometime in the distant future alone and without endangering anyone else's life in a very discrete manner..."thinking"is the word I'm emphasizing on here. Anyway my question or prayer is how the hell could something as subjective as life be considered a gift if the one receiving it will never be able to behold it... More importantly how could anything be considered a gift after a subjective negative experience.

In Psalms 8 and in Job, people ask the same type of questions...
God created life for man as a blessing... As a gift... but man messed it up. Our sin allowed the 'gift' to be torn and broken.
The point of it all really is that we are living imperfect lives with imperfect thoughts and with mistakes because we...Adam... caused it. But ultimately, God is calling us back to the gift. He gives us a new gift, Jesus Christ, as a savior and a Redeemer. Jesus died while we were still in our sin... and He calls us to trust in his gift and to ask him into our lives so we can be seen as with again before a perfect living God. He did it for free... So that if we'd accept it we'd be saved. And, when we are saved, we are not guaranteed perfect lives anymore... That's what John 16:33 is about. But we do have knowledge, and confidence, and hope.
