Happy Fathers Day
Good Morning

Today is a bitter sweet day for me. I can truthfully and humbly say I do not have one single happy, joyous, peaceful, loving memory of the man that is biologically called my father. I had/ have a grandfather who was there who showed us the love, care, compassion and guidance a father should. And for that I am truly grateful. Even though he was there growing up, there still was a huge void. Little girls need their daddy's. They need to feel the love and protection only a father can provide.

I was reading one of my morning devotionals and it resonated so loudly, I had to pass on to my sisters. It simply stated, we may not have had a father of this world, but we can take comfort in knowing we have the best father their is.... Our Heavenly Father. He will never leave us, forsake us, condemn us. He will protect us, love us, guide us, forgive us. That is the only father we will ever need. This still overwhelms me and honestly, every time I think about it, it brings tears to my eyes. I do have a Father, and he will never leave me, and always, always love me.

I just want to say Happy Fathers Day to you gentlemen who are a constant, loving, supportive presence I'm your children's lives. The role you have, the role you play is an inspiration. An inspiration for me to want that type of relationship for my own children whenever God sees fit for me to have. The world doesn't praise you enough. The humility, the sacrifice, the strength you all have should be celebrated more. I am so glad to know you. To call you friends.

Dealing with us females is challenging, lol. But the love and devotion you show to your children despite whatever your situation is, is simply commendable.

Scripture says listen to your father. Honor your fathers. Proverbs 23:22-25 NIV [22] Listen to your father, who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old. [23] Buy the truth and do not sell it---wisdom, instruction and insight as well. [24] The father of a righteous child has great joy; a man who fathers a wise son rejoices in him. [25] May your father and mother rejoice; may she who gave you birth be joyful! Ephesians 6:1-4 NIV
[1] Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. [2] “Honor your father and mother”---which is the first commandment with a promise--- [3] “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.” [4] Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

Sorry so long, but I couldn't shortchange you guys or mince words. I hope you guys have a wonderful day. I love you all.
