Prayer Request


Dear God,
Today I spoke with my father about my interest in a very special boy. It took so much courage for me to do this, since my dad is very strict.. almost to the point of making me scared to speak with him about any personal issues for fear of being disappointed with his ultimate ruling on the situation. Although I may have lied to my parents in the past about my whereabouts, never have I lied to you God. Thanks for giving me the strength to tell him my feelings. Although the conversation didn't go as well as I wanted, I could tell it gave my father evidence that his daughter was growing up. I could also tell that this subject will not be absent from his mind - he will definitely think about it for some time. I truly thank you for allowing him to not make me feel bad or sinful for liking an amazing boy. You have blessed me so kindly this afternoon for allowing him to take my news surprisingly, yet calmly. God, you and I both know my father has a bad temper. Thank you for allowing him to take the news well.. for now. I'd like to now pray that he will learn to give this guy a chance, and allow me to officially date him.. seeing as I truly believe my judgment is good. Help my father see how good of a daughter he has raised. Help him see I am old enough now to begin sharing my life with someone whom I truly admire. I pray that I don't lose this boy who I have grown so attached to.. due to a lack of understanding of my family and how strict they are. I pray this boy will truly stick by me until my father truly understands. God, I trust you know exactly what is best. I love you, amen.

Dear Child of God,
you have been blessed with parents who care about you so much that they have put rules in place to guide you. Your success in life is their responsibility. I pray that you continue to communicate with your parents and that you come to know that true love will not leave you because of rules your parents put in place. In jesus's name I pray.
