I need to tell my mom that I don't want to play softball and she might get reallly mad...so how can I tell her?

I would say: "mom I know how much you want me to play softball, but my heart is not in it. I really want you to be proud of me, but I don't think softball is it".
Then you can go on to tell your mom what you want to excel at so she will be very proud of you.
