Prayer Request

God moves in a mysterious way
His wonders to perform;
He plants His footsteps in the sea
And rides upon the storm.

Deep in unfathomable mines
Of never failing skill
He treasures up His bright designs
And works His sovereign will.

Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take;
The clouds ye so much dread
Are big with mercy and shall break
In blessings on your head.

Judge not the Lord by feeble sense,
But trust Him for His grace;
Behind a frowning providence
He hides a smiling face.

His purposes will ripen fast,
Unfolding every hour;
The bud may have a bitter taste,
But sweet will be the flower.

Blind unbelief is sure to err
And scan His work in vain;
God is His own interpreter,
And He will make it plain.

William Cowper

There are times we feel the weight of our trial. We look to Jesus alone for help and deliverance in time. Days, weeks and months go by until it becomes a year. Still no answer to our prayer, and then a battle starts to begin, the battle between faith and trust in God verses doubt and unbelief in the promises of God.

The most significant seasons of spiritual growth in your life will come from the hardest circumstances you have experience. However, it may be hard to understand while in the storm.

When you are in pain, it seems that there's no end in sight. But the bible tells us that God determines the time of trials and how intense they will be.

This time of darkness when you feel you have been abandoned by God in your trial when He is silent is the time to commit all your being to prayer. The purpose of a seemingly hopeless situation is to draw you into more intimacy with the Lord.

Our hope is in the Lord Jesus Christ. The great shepherd who takes care of His sheep. One who's watchful eye never leaves us, and compassion to work His sovereign will in us and through us. Creating faith in us when we start to see signs of His plan unfold.

Prayer is powerful, if you truly believe that by this means that Jesus showed brings results. He was always in prayer and confident His Father heard and answered. The results were everything He prayed for the Father granted according to His will.

You and I would not be saved if not Jesus had not prayed for us! He brought us to faith and we became born-again and children of God. The Father opened our hearts to receive His Son, by convicting us of our sin and guilt and of necessity turn to Christ as our Savior and redeemer from God's wrath upon sin.

If He so brought us to faith, we are now Covenant children, heirs of the kingdom of God. He is our Father, Abba we call Him. If He has created in us spiritual life through the miracle of regeneration, an act that the Holy Spirit can only do, why would we doubt Him ever leaving or forsaking us in time of trial? He is the author and finisher of our faith is He not?

We had no ability of our own to come to Him in the first place. For by grace we are saved through faith and not of ourselves it is the gift of God! We never desired holiness when we were dead in trespasses and sin.

It was the sovereign free will of God who brought us to faith. Why do I tell you this? Not only the bible confirms this as Jesus said no man can come to Him unless the Father grants him.

The purpose is to encourage us in our trial that God who is our Father allows for His purposes to accomplish His will in our lives. In our darkest moments it causes us to seek Him in prayer. To push until something happens by praying. Teaching us to trust our Father and to wait upon Him and patience in His timing for He is well aware of our situation.

He is working behind the scenes, yes even in the dark. His delays are never denials, the suffering and pain won't last long. He is in control of your situation, trust Him for the outcome, as you wait upon your merciful God, the one who sustains, provides in His providential care.
