Prayer Request


Father, I thank You for our earthly fathers, those to whom You have entrusted the responsibility to provide loving protection of their families and guidance of their children. May our earthly fathers(especially -the father of my children) imitate the manly courage of Abraham, Jesse, and Joseph, and all the holy fathers of the past in providing wise counsel to the children You have given to their care. Father, I pray that You assist all fathers of families, that through Your grace they may steadily grow in holiness and in knowledge and understanding of Your Truth. Father, I ask Your blessing on all those to whom You have entrusted fatherhood or motherhood. May Your Holy Spirit constantly inspire them with justice and mercy, wisdom and strength, fidelity and self-giving love. Father, help my children's father to remember that everything isn't about them. I pray that one day that they wake up and realize that these children need them in their life. Father, I pray that my children's father share in the responsibility of raising these children. Father, I know that small minds and hearts of children are not easy to guide; adolescent minds and hearts are bewildered and battered at times; the minds and hearts of young adults are often lost or too embarassed to seek guidance. For them a father is a steady example of preseverance and good, a beacon for wondering and wondering minds. Father, I pray that the earthly fathers remember that their children were created by a loving, wise and merciful God. Amen
