Prayer Request


Well apparently 17year olds can't be DEPRESSED, so will you guys pleaseeee pray for whatever this constant sadness is, going on with me. Its like I can't stay happy or somewhat happy for more than an hour till I'm back to constant negative thoughts,and that's not the type of person I am.. I know its because of all that's going on around me..but the joy of the Lord is supposed to be what holds me up. Please pray for me everyone! I know you will!

I will continue. To pray that God works through you foe the better! I recommend that u read this book, its by shannon ethridge. Its called every young womans battle: surviving in a sex saturated world. Even though you may not like to read, it brings great comfort in times of suffering to know that I am never the only one going through these everyday struggles. Jesus loves you and so do I!

HolinessGirl. 17 year olds can indeed be depressed. But the joy of the Lord is your strength. Life is so hard sometimes - and especially for teens. Don't let anyone make you feel badly, or that you are somehow less of a Christian because you feel depressed. The key is talking to God about it, and remember that he adores you. He is indeed a strong tower, so hold onto Him. Surround yourself with others who love Him. And remember that although weeping endures for a night, your joy will come in the morning. God Bless You.

Oh my dear friend! 17 years old was just a few years ago for me and let me tell you, at 17 you can be depressed. Life gets so difficult, but have faith. Please keep your faith! God loves you and knows your pain and sorrows. He has brought you to this and he will see you through it. Just keep holding on! You will be happy soon enough. Some advice is also to seek out those who make you feel better. It's hard to feel self worth around those who bring you down. Pray. Find simple things that make you happy and do those as often as possible. You're going to get through this and how I know is I felt the same way when I was 17. Keep being strong and know that you are beautiful and deeply loved!
