Prayer Request


Ive come to realize that people can still hurt you years down the road, even if they are not in your life anymore. They can still make you afraid of things and cause stress that can affect your health. And they do it without a glance, without a touch, without a word. Long after the bruises are gone, long after the abuse has subsided, there is still a storm in your heart- a storm that you just can't seem to cover up. It always comes back, waiting in the shadows, only to strike when you least expect it. You can say that you are over it, but are you really? When you still push people away and don't know how to express your love for others, is it really over? The embers still smolder inside of you and you may not even know it. You wonder if they think of you and see the damage that's been done or if they even care...but when and if the moment comes when they appear and try to apologize, it sounds good but it really doesn't mean anything. Sorry cannot undo what has,been done, nor can it give back what was taken from you. You go around saying that you're happy they tried to say sorry when it was too late, but are you really happy? Or just vindicated.... Forgiveness needs to be whole-hearted or you won't get the benefit of it.
