Friendship comes when we connect with others. Maybe you have gone through a long season of loneliness. I hear and feel you pain. This may sound trite, but I want to challenge you to do something positive for a neighbor. Scripture is clear as to our responsibility to do that. Reach out to someone else. Everyone can use a an extra touch. You might want to invite someone you like over for a meal. Invite someone of the opposite sex to go out. Don't be afraid of rejection. Keep it light. A ballgame or something like that. And don't kid yourself, there are hundreds of thousands of lonely people out there, many who would love your friendship. I have lived in 11 states, and I can tell you that folks are basically the same all over.

Heavenly Father, show your lamb how important he is to the community of believers. He is a living stone who is just as much a part of your kingdom as any other, including every famous Christian who ever lived. Remove that loneliness, I pray, as your lamb reaches out to others, in Yeshua's name.

Oh, and as for a chapter of scripture, can't think of. I would exhort you to make this next year of your life a new beginning--usually taken to be the meaning of the number 8.

Remember, you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Philippians 4:13
