Prayer Request

When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them,“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these (Mark 10:14).

Parents were bringing their children to Jesus to have Him bless them, but His disciples were driving them away. When Jesus saw this He was not pleased and called the children to Him and blessed them. Are we bringing our children to Jesus to have Him bless them? Or do we let others drive them off? Or let them stay away from church and the presence of God because they're too tired because they stayed up too late the night before watching TV., or some other excuse? What will be the excuse on the day of reckoning? There won't be one. Let us love our children and teach them the things of God so that they may know Him and He them. Let us give them a chance for eternal life. Let us encourage our children to be achievers and not settle for mediocrity. Bless them saying, "You are the head and not the tail, the top and not the bottom!" Never demoralize them or feed them negativity. But rather, let them know they can do all things through Christ who strengthens them. And never let them forget that God is still God, and He is still on His thrown.

Father God, we bring our children to You today, and we place them in Your hands and in Your care. Bless them and watch over them. Command Your angels concerning them. Build up a hedge of protection round about them; an impenetrable wall that cannot be breached by the enemy. Rebuke the destroyer on their behalf, and give them the strength to overcome temptation and per pressure, and to resist the devil that he may flee from them. Give them the faith to submit whole heartedly to You, and the wisdom to make the right choices. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
