The Goodness of God:

Psalm 27:7-10,13-14
"Hear, O LORD, when I cry aloud;
be gracious to me and answer me!
You have said "Seek my face."
My heart says to You,
"Your face, LORD, do I seek."
Hide not your face from me.
Turn not your servant away in anger,
O You who have been my help.
Cast me not off; forsake me not, O God of my salvation!
For my father and mother have forsaken me, but the LORD will take me in.
I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the LORD.
In the land of the living!
Wait for the LORD;
Be strong and let your heart take courage;
Wait for the Lord! (ESV)
This is a beautiful doctrine. It's one of the attributes of God. His goodness.
The goodness of God means: That God is the final standard of good and that all that God is and does is worthy of approval.
Do you believe that God is working wisely today in your life? Rom. 8:28
God always does what He promises to do and we can depend on Him never to be unfaithful to His promises. Thus He is "a God of faithfulness." Deut. 32:4
God's faithfulness means that God will always do what He has said and fulfill what He has promised.
Num. 23:19, 2 Sam. 7:28, Psalm 141:6
In the book of Joshua. Moses died and Joshua became Moses successor. (Chapter One) God told Joshua, arise and go to Jordan with the children of Israel to the land He was giving them. God was fulfilling His promise to the Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. 3 times God said, be strong and of good courage.
And I will be with you. I will not fail you, or forsake you. V. 9; be not afraid, neither be dismayed; for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go. V. 17; as He was with Moses in all things, He will be with you.
Be careful that you do not assume that your heart is good enough to judge the goodness of God. Or wise enough to judge the wisdom of God. There is a thousand reasons why God does what He does. Which we cannot yet understand. "the secret things belong to the Lord our God" Deut. 29:29.
He can be relied upon and He will never prove unfaithful to those who trust what He has said. The nature of true faith is taking God at His word and relying on Him to do what He has promised.
Bank on the goodness of God.
Everything God does is for your good.
The more you go through. The more you love the Lord. The Lord Jesus abiding presence is the key to strength and courage in your trial.
As we actively wait, we place complete trust in God whether we see results or not. He uses this time to prepare us for His will, strengthen our faith, and sift our motives.
Trusting God and His timing (Wisdom), will we believe Him for our circumstances? Nothing escapes His knowledge, He is God!
Believe He has our best interest at heart, and can work it all out for our good.
Keep praying to our Father in heaven. Pray that His will be done in your life. Trust Him for the outcome.
And be strong and courageous. God will take you to a fresh understanding of Him and His ways.
