Prayer Request

There will be no mercy for those who have not shown mercy to others. But if you have been merciful, God will be merciful when he judges you. (James 2:13). This makes me feel like, unless I'm perfect, I should be afraid. God, I need your mercy, even if I'm not good. If you'll be with me, the way I am with others, I don't have much hope then, cause even with the best of my intentions, I fail constantly. Please God, forgive me. I thought my works were not going to save me, do I have to earn your favor with my behavior? I'm confused. Forgive me if I don't get it. I want to be with You. Help me.

This is not true! Please read 1 Samuel Chapter 8 and you will read when Israel, GOD's people at the time tell GOD they do not want him to be their king. Imagine, telling GOD to his face that you do not want him as head of your Life. Well, in Chp 13 of 1 Samuel vs 22 GOD tells them something, I want you to read that tonight.1 Samuel Chp 8 and then 1 Samuel Chp 13:1-22, especially verse 22. Also, you need to find a Church of Christ, get BAPTIZED and start going to Bible Study. That way the Devil can't trick you!!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write to me and share your thoughts. I really appreciate your help and concern. I just read both chapters a few times, it had been a while since I've read them, still, I have to be honest and tell you that I don't see the how it relates to James 2:13. I feel bad not seeing what you see. Please, if you don't mind, I would love it if you could explain it a bit more. I've been a Christian all my life and I try to grow in the knowledge of God everyday. I have also been baptized and I do attend church. But sometimes, there are just verses that confuse me, like the one I mentioned above. Thank you again for caring and for your help, and God's blessings to you.
