Lord God, I am sometime tempted to say, "Who cares," and then go out and do something to numb the pain for a while. Please protect me from that temptatiom and guide me to do what pleases You. Amen
That's just an easy way for the devil to derail you altogether if he can. To get his foot in the door, again. You have been down that road Wildcat. Don't go there again. You HAVE TO work throughthe pain. It won't disappear with a distraction or two. Your victory lies on the other side of that pain, not on the other side of the many, many distractions. God bless you. You and your wife remain in my prayers daily.
Thank you 'walking in faith' for these words you shared with wildcat. My prayers have been with him and his ex wife. As I am walking a similar journey, I found your comment and it has just given me the strength to get out of bed. I have chosen the path of numb on too many occasions. And each time feel so desperately sad and alone. Your advise of having to work thru the pain because goodness lies at the end of the path speaks so loudly to me. Thank you. Thank you
